Polypropylene Plastic Strapping Polypropylene is the most accepted and widely used strapping material for packaging due to its properties of better heat sealing and pricing. Characteristics of polypropylene plastic strapping include high elongation and elongation recovery, but low retained tension.
Available in both manual grade and machine grade, polypropylene plastic strapping can be sealed with buckles, seals, heat seals or friction welds. Packaging with polypropylene plastic strapping is best for light duty palletizing, unitizing, carton closing and bundling for packaging. It is used in all semi-automatic plastic strapping machines and nearly all stand alone arched / chuted plastic strapping machines.
